Evenings Out...... For evening entertainment see the wonderfully varied programmes of the Borders Theatre scene. The Wynd at Melrose - tucked away between the two main streets! Bowhill Theatre - unique! An experience for the ambience and size of the theatre! Who would have guessed it was converted from the old Victorian Game Larder! The Maltings Theatre & Arts Centre, Berwick-upon-Tweed The Heart of Hawick Events - one of the biggest regeneration projects in the Scottish Borders. Peebles Theatre and Arts Centre. Eastgate has become a well-loved part of the Peebles landscape, and a lively hub for arts activities in the Scottish Borders.

30 Glendale Show just south of Wooler in Northumberland - the best natural amphitheatre that I can think of for a show!

3-5 Crossing Borders Third Annual Art Trail - a weekend to travel through the Borders and North Northumberland visiting artists in studios and galleries!
4 Kelso Folk Club Dick Gaughan. Recently honoured with a lifetime achievement award, Scots folk hero Dick visits Kelso (venue and ticketing to be announced).
4 - 12 The 16th Borders Annual Walking Festival, in and around the Tweed Valley
4 In The Kings Hall at Bamburgh Castle at 7.30pm - The Avison Ensemble are “Getting a Handel on the Jacobite Rebellions”
10 Kelso Ram Sales - Springwood Park, Kelso

1 Kelso Folk Club Black Swan Hotel. Wizz Jones. Legendary blues and ragtime guitarist and wonderful singer - the man who taught the 1960s folk revival where to start! £5/3 on door.
22-23 and 29-30 The Spirits of Traquair take you on an atmospheric candlelit tour. 7-9pm
23 & 24 The Scottish Ploughing Championships 2010 - Including The European Vintage and Five Nations Ploughing Championships at Upper Nisbet, Jedburgh. A great opportunity to see Modern, Vintage and Horse Ploughing. A Vintage Machinery Display and trade stands,stalls and childrens rides
31 11-4pm Traquair Halloween Family Fun Day. Spooky fun for all ages. Come dressed to kill!
November
13/14 Scotland v New Zealand. The Autumn Tests International Rugby at Murrayfield
20/21 Scotland v South Africa. The Autumn Tests international Rugby at Murrayfield

The Border Union Show Ground at Kelso - a wide variety of indoor and outdoor events throughout the year. Ranging from the Border Union Agricultural Show and Kelso Ram Sales (known locally the Tup Sales - male sheep!) the biggest sale of it's kind in the country! To the Art and Design Fair, Antique Fairs, Dog Shows, The Tweed Angling Fair and many more....it's always worth a look to see what's on!
Return to the Ridings - a calendar of all the Border Common Ridings - throughout the summer months
The Wee Gallery - in the corner of the Knowes car park behind Kelso Abbey. A rolling programme of diverse exhibitions - pop-in for a look-see!
Kelso Folk and Live Music Club. Every Friday Acoustic Jamming Sessions - Traditional and modern tunes and songs. Visiting singers and players welcome.
