We had a glorious few days at this very well equipped and charming cottage next to the farm. We had the added bonus of seeing all the lambs. I had not been to Kelso before and it is a lovely town with lots of nice restaurants, interesting shops and the Abbey.

We have just spent a week at Hendersyde, staying in the Southsyde with our children (4 and 6) and we had a great time. Sue is very welcoming, and the cottage very comfortable, with everything you could possibly want provided. It’s a lovely, peaceful location on the farm, and there are some great day trips too – we went to Berwick-upon-Tweed, Floors Castle, Harestanes, as well as going on a beastie hunt on the river Tweed on the doorstep. Thanks Sue!

It was atmospheric staying at Southsyde; really lovely autumnal colours, sights and sounds. We saw deer, badger, a hare and so many different kinds of birds. Then inside there was the coal fire to be lit after wonderful days spent exploring the likes of Melrose, Berwick and Peebles. The bed was gorgeously comfortable and waking up to the surrounding fields was a joy. We would heartily recommend Hendersyde Farm cottages to you, whatever the time of year. We were not ready to leave and are indeed missing the whole experience still.

We spent a month in the Borders researching family history. Hendersyde cottages were by far the best equipped and most comfortable self-catering accommodation we have used in several trips to Scotland from Australia. We would highly recommend this location and cottages to anyone visiting the area. Beautifully decorated and well-equipped cottage with magnificent views in a perfect environment.
