Letting Agreement – Terms & Conditions
Please read carefully, if you book you are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions of this contract.
When you submit a booking via our online reservation system, you will receive an automatically generated booking summary. This does not form a contract between us.
A contract will only arise when your booking is confirmed by email or post.
Payments
Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of the booking form and 25% non-refundable deposit, within 3 days of placing the booking.
Bank transfer is our prefered payment method.
Payment will only be processed when your dates have been double checked.
The balance payment will be due 28 days before the arrival date of your stay.
No reminders will be sent.
We reserve the right to cancel a booking where payment has not been received 28 days before the start date, in which case the deposit will be forfeited
If a booking is made within 28 days of the arrival date, the full payment will be due on booking.
Payments can be made by –
Bank Transfer, details will be forwarded to you.
Switch/Maestro/Debit/Credit cards.
Cheques to be made payable to Susan Beck
Cancellations
Cancellations must be immediately notified to us by email.
The deposit is non-refundable, and you will be liable for the balance, unless I manage to re-book the dates. Holiday insurance is highly recommended.
PLEASE NOTE the Coronavirus update to our terms –
If the Government imposes new Covid-19 travel restrictions and you are unable to take your holiday due to these restrictions, your total deposit or balance paid, will either be refunded in full, or credited against another holiday at Hendersyde in the future.
If for any reason we have to cancel due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure), you will be refunded in full. If we have to terminate your holiday early for circumstances out-with our control you will be refunded part of the cost of the holiday based on the time remaining for the booking. This will be the full extent of our liability. No additional compensation, expenses or costs will be payable.
Information
Please include names and addresses of all those staying, occupancy may not exceed the stated number per property. Please provide children’s ages if under 15 years.
Farm cottages – 4 people. Millsyde – 6 people.
Unless otherwise arranged, arrival time is 4pm and please a prompt departure time of 10am!
The cottages are all no-smoking areas.
The price includes fuel for the fire, central heating, electricity and Wi-Fi.
Please notify us if you have an electric or hybrid vehicle.
Well behaved dogs are welcome in Millsyde and West Cottage. There is a £25 charge per dog.
For those bringing dogs – please be responsible & very considerate.
Keeping your dogs under control at all times. Hendersyde is a working farm with livestock and lots of wildlife.
Ensuring dogs stay off all the furniture and do not enter the bed rooms.
Taking dogs with you when you go out.
Exercising them outside the garden.
Cleaning up behind them both inside and out, so absolutely no trace remains.
Dogs in Millsyde live in the tiled area of the house only, this includes the scullery and kitchen.
Please let me know about any damage or breakages, as soon as possible. We do understand about life’s little accidents, but ultimately you are responsible for the property & its contents during your stay. We will always try to put things right with the least cost & inconvenience to you.
* PLEASE NOTE! The cottages are thoroughly cleaned between lets, but time is very limited, so part of this agreement is your commitment to leave the cottage as clean and tidy as you found it! This is always greatly appreciated!
